Yes, people tend to get the opposite sex, they want to become richer.
  But ways to meet the instincts of people - an infinite variety. And people from them choose not the most vile.
  A very great influence on the choice of behavior in people has their divine part - the soul.
  And even there is progress. - People's relationships are becoming more civilized.

Civilization's survival is questionable:

However, right now there was a very big danger of "divine" influence on people.
  - People are increasingly influenced by special propaganda institutions.

The threat to the future "divine" world will grow even stronger with the advent of immortals.
  - Inequality will have a biological basis.
  Humanity will irrevocably take a stable form - consisting of a class of rulers and manipulated.

This does not mean that technical development will stop.
  - The development of the soul, "divine" will stop. Since it will be completely determined artificially by the Center.

But there were also ways to avoid a dead end. - This is the development of democracy - self-determination and independence of people's souls, and the Internet.
