Ukrainian activists have not only become murderers-accomplices, but they are also fools - non-violent, information methods are more effective now. The Kremlin realized this before the Americans.
  With the right organization, Ukrainian activists could not only not let Putin into the Donbas, but also overthrow him.
  However, this is not too late now.

Correct policy:

Orientation to help Crimeans - information assistance, not selfish sabotage.
  Crimea really will not be Ukrainian anymore.
  But for Crimeans optimal is independence, not life under Putin's dictatorship.

Putin is lying that the Crimea is forever with him.
  With the proper organization of the case, the Crimea can become independent for 2 years.

We need to ask the US for help - not military, but - information, especially since it is much more effective - now, and in this situation.

Thousands of Kremlin trolls are weaker than millions of Ukrainians, because they are insincere. -
  The image of truth is more complicated and more costly than the truth itself.
  We must first work - with the Americans and Europeans - to explain to them that the Kremlin has no choice but to act aggressively against them - against their democracy.
  Americans and Europeans will have to defend themselves.
  The most adequate and effective protection is counterpropaganda.

The most effective defense is cooperation with Ukrainians, - a simple American does not care much about Russia, it is difficult for him to explain the danger.
