Divine works

Hello Rick Warren

In your book Purpose Driven Life (at the end of chapter 7), you offer to write you a letter, which I do.

I will be very glad if you forward this open letter to that follower of yours who will answer me.

In your book The Purpose Driven Life, you also advise:
"I strongly advise you to invite one or more friends to read this book with you over the next forty days ."
I would be very glad to invite one or more of your followers, whom you will advise, to discuss with them questions that have arisen in my reading of your book.
True, I have a wish - to get acquainted with your followers - who do not live in Russia or the CIS, since my questions may touch on political topics that are not safe to discuss where I live.

Do you also offer:
"The best way to clarify your thoughts is to write them down on paper."
What I am doing.

I have read your book with great interest.
As I read, I had a lot of questions.
I have put them in separate files - for the convenience of your followers who want to answer me.
I am Russian-speaking, but I see no problem in communicating with your English-speaking followers, if there are also Russian-speaking ones who are not connected with Russia.

With great respect for your important mission.
Edil.

Hello, Phil Janine .
I am Edil . I was glad to meet you at the "House Church" meeting on 12/25/22

I have 1 issue that worries me:

Copernicus may have been wrong - in a philosophical sense. -
The Earth, more precisely, Mankind, perhaps, is the meaning and center of the Universe.
("The position ... that the Earth is not the center of the universe ... is erroneous in faith."
That is, it was not about the geometric "center".

Widely known are the "Fermi Paradox 1950" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_paradox ) and the "Drake Equation 1961" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drake_equation )
My fears are that the Earth, more precisely Mankind, may turn out to be unique not only in our universe ("Bubble"), but also in the Universe in general.

On the 1st side - the number of Earth-like planets is huge:
"There are approximately 0.18 terrestrial-type planets for one star of spectral type G in the Milky Way. G-class luminaries make up approximately 7% of the total population of stars in our Galaxy"
Michelle Kunimoto , University of British Columbia, Canada )
"17 billion Earth-sized planets in the Milky Way".

On the 2nd side, the number of coefficients in the Drake formula, only I counted not 4, not counting the constants, but about 400. In fact, there are many more.

The problem is that now, more precisely, in 300 years, unique Humanity is threatened with death - at least spiritual, and possibly physical, or complete artificial degradation and loss of divine properties.
Spiritual death will consist, first of all, in the loss of freedom of choice by people, the physical loss of empathy and God -likeness.
People can become complete puppets, primitive pets.

This threat is much more dangerous than, for example, climate, however, unlike the last one , nobody cares about it. (At least none did - a few years ago - when I was looking for them).
I wrote letters to dozens of NGOs, ≈ 20 Think Tanks in the US and Canada, and other organizations, but no one responded.

For the last 2-3 years I have been trying to write not to official organizations, but to specific people.
But people don't answer either.
I wrote mostly in Russian .
Perhaps people in the Russian world are more down to earth, they are less concerned about global problems?
In addition, people in the Russian world are more intimidated. They are not inclined to sincere discussion.

Perhaps people have already become fed up with the prophecies about the "ends of the world", like his "rescuers" - hundreds every year.
But Canadians also have a diversity of opinions. -
Perhaps, among them it will be easier to find unanimous people, including those who treat "another nonsense" - without prejudice, than in the uniform "Russian World".

Also, I had the idea for the "Flat Church of God's Friends":

Surprisingly, my daughter accidentally introduced me to just such a church. This is your "Home Church".
The incredible thing is that I stopped getting acquainted with church organizations exactly 20 years ago - after an unsuccessful search.
I also had ideas - my "church". - If I could not find, then I need to create "from scratch" what I could not find.
From the search for a ready-made church organization, I switched to the search for unanimous people.

The idea of the "Flat Church of the Friends of God" was precisely :
1. Churches without pastors;
2. Focus on deeds, not on form.

Russians say: "Checkers or go?". The meaning of this statement is that it is not the official registration that is important, but the deed, the result.
A direct question - Is God proud? Who needs God more - idol worshipers of His personality, or employees of His work?

I have a difficult question about the social aspect of faith in God.
The Russians have the concept of "Goods with a load." -
There was a trade deficit in the USSR. And there was a "plan" of turnover - the sellers received a bonus if they sold the amount of goods they specified.
Sellers combined a scarce product with another - unnecessary, low-quality, expensive product - in order to fulfill the plan.

The requirement of "faith" is reminiscent of "Goods with a load." “People have a spiritual need.
A person comes to church, the shepherd tells him that in order to satisfy his spiritual need, the seeker must "believe." And not just to believe, but to believe exactly as this pastor says.
The point is that the shepherd here turns out to be an interested person. -
He turns out to be a representative of this mode of faith, a necessary mediator between God and the seeker.
The requirement of monotheism turns out to be consonant with the requirement of one-man command.

My difficult question:
I really like the work of God, but I'm not even sure of His existence.
Am I entitled to help the cause of God in my own way?
In the controlled church, they will answer me that I must first recognize His prophet, and choose one of the registered monopoly churches.
Even in Canada, the number of agnostics has grown 10 times and continues to grow.
Traditional churches don't need them because they are out of control.
The idea of my "Flat Church of the Friends of God" was to unite lovers of the divine like me - regardless of faith.
Does the "church" have a right to exist for people who do not recognize permitted doctrines, and for agnostics?

Are Satanists More Dangerous Than Atheists?

Atheists simply and openly do not believe in God.
He can just lose something - personally.
Satanists, for example, from the ROC (Russian Orthodox Church) formally follow religious traditions.
However, there is a lot of cunning in her deeds, psychological manipulation in the interests not of the development of divinity, but in the interests of the authorities and hierarchs of the church itself.
Priests in churches in authoritarian states often do not have enough freedom, often they are guided not so much by the divine, but by the church authorities.
Today, for example, the Russian Orthodox Church inspires people with "patriotism" in an undivine form.
For example, the Metropolitan of the Russian Orthodox Church demagogically proves that "Ukraine has declared war on God."
The high priest of the Russian Orthodox Church himself is craftily setting the Russians up, justifying the murders in Ukraine, justifying the mental suffering that leads to bitterness.

I want to try to write personal letters to Canadians.
Canada is a prosperous country.
People in Canada are more liberal, personally freer, have less prejudice, are more open, more relaxed, less concerned with domestic survival.

At first I did not want to write to you on the merits of the matter.
- I was afraid that you would not give me the contacts of the Canadians, so that I would not compromise your church, would not "take dirty linen out of the hut," as the Russians say.
But to express thoughts on the organization of an anti-terrorist church in an illiberal country can be life-threatening.
So I want to discuss these issues - with the Canadians.
If you do not want to give me the contacts of Canadians (not organizations), then please do not forward this letter to anyone else.

Thank you very much for your attention.
Edil . (" Konnor ")

About the meaning of life. Purposeful life:

I was offered to read a book: Rick Warren, The Purpose Driven Life.
Rick advises finding a friend with whom to discuss thoughts that arise about his book.
I would be very happy to do so. I would be very glad to meet an American or Canadian who also read Rick Warren.
Why not in your own country? “In my terrorist country, discussing issues raised by Rick is life-threatening.

Chapter 1 On the meaning of life:
Rick writes that he read "lots of books" but didn't find the answer.
1st thought - Rick is insincere, tendentious.
Rick gives >10 answers from philosophers, but doesn't give the simplest answer:
The instinct for meaningfulness of life has been developed by tribal selection.
"Hedgehog", but it is not clear to Rick that people do not find the answer - from an egoistic position, since anthropogenesis has linked human happiness - with altruism, with serving one's Family.
It is clear that propagandists today simplify theories, since egoists are easier to manipulate.
- The difference between people is in a particularly strong tribal selection. - The element of biological natural selection in humans was not the individual, but the genus.
Simply put, only those 0.0% of people survived who were able to indirectly kill everyone else.
That is why it is so easy for people to be propagated by theories of patriotism, racism, religious fanaticism and class wars.
Why am I writing about generic selection in the past tense? – Because today this factor is no longer the leading one.
- Today, the evolution of people is already determined by the aforementioned propaganda of the theories of patriotism, racism, religious fanaticism and class wars, which use the previously developed tribal instinct - to please various social "leaders".
There is no objective meaning of life, but there is a strong instinct for meaningfulness.

For myself, 40 years ago I decided on the meaning of life when I settled on the above theory.
For me the meaning of life
1. Survival of Divinity;
2. Daughter.

Divine - described in the same Scripture.
People are bearers of the Divine. In 300 years, these carriers will probably disappear. And with them the Divine will disappear . And God.

I am agnostic. I do not deny the existence of God. But not sure about it.
I believe that the question of the existence of God is being imposed by religious leaders for the same selfish purpose. -
– A fanatic must believe in the understanding of God that this particular leader offers.
Accordingly, this leader receives an important social role.
Moreover, this leader turns out to be the only representative of God on Earth.

I do not want to discuss the question of the existence of God at all, but only to cooperate in the realization by those who believe in Him of His plan, as they see it.
Cooperating in the realization of His plan does not mean fulfilling it as it is seen by those who believe in Him.
This means - to look for "crossings of multitudes", and not "unification", not the fulfillment of prescriptions, as they are understood by those who believe in Him, namely, free cooperation.

Unfortunately, Phil did not answer me. Can you advise - how to reach the Americans or Canadians?
It looks like I was deceived that there are no leaders in the "House Church". - Perhaps someone does not advise giving me contacts.
By the way, I read that there is a Baptist Center in Moscow. Where can I read a dossier about him?
