Purpose Driven Life, Rick's Contradictions, or Rick's Aimless Life :

Theological mini-treatise based on Pastor Rick Warren's book "The Purpose Driven Life".

Suggestion to followers of Rick Warren:

Rick gives a lot of good advice for Christians in The Purpose Driven Life.
However, the book and advice have a common flaw - Rick does not offer a Purposeful Life.

The 5 goals that Rick suggests are not goals, but rather means of personal approach to God.
The goal of a truly Purposeful life should be directed - outward, to the world.

Rick's 5th goal - Missionary.
However, Rick's Missionary is similar to Chain Letters and Pyramid. -
Rick's understanding for the sake of expansion itself, since the future bliss of the new church members involved is in doubt.

Riku needs the land , first of all, as a training ground.
Rick's world is static and quite meaningless.
Rick explains the meaning by the fact that "The world would become boring " , and not by its survival and the achievement of divinity - on Earth.
Even as a training ground, Rick's Land is highly sub-optimal and needs to be developed.
At the same time, Rick does not even deny the need to build the Kingdom of God - on Earth.
After all, the spiritual Kingdom of Rika is being created in the " co-workers of God" and with them - here on Earth:
"I advise you to organize the same group of Kingdom Builders in your community."
"In the most important project of all times and peoples: In the work of building His Kingdom."

Purpose and Meaning of Rick's " Saddleback " Church:
"- Create projects of church buildings;
- Write songs and teach music ;
Sports teams train ."
That is, Rick does not have a goal that most helps the cause of God on Earth.

Target:

However, such a goal is "objectively". -
Today there is a threat to the very existence of the main "Project" of God.
The purpose of the Purposeful Life can and should be precisely helping God in saving the meaning of the Universe.

Rick's 5 goals are like 5 disjointed fingers.
The goal of the Purposeful life should be - hierarchical - the main goal, and - auxiliary.

Reverse action:

Having a very important goal, in turn, greatly helps all other goals.
As will be shown below, Rick offers goals that are quite dubious for the meaning of life.
The goal of saving the World, however, leaves no doubt in a person, and mobilizes him as strongly as Rick's fanatics could ever dream of.
Such a goal mobilizes even unbelievers.
That is, it does not even require certainty in the presence of God, which is necessary for a person to become a follower of Rick Warren.

Rick Warren is not-relevant :

"Jesus will not return until all who need to hear God's Message have heard it ."
But the entire population of the Earth is now familiar with the teachings of Christ. Even in the Amazon jungle.
Introduction to religions is included in the general school education.

Yes, this acquaintance is superficial.
But today, in general, acquaintance with all topics is superficial.
The problem today is not in unfamiliarity with Christ, but in propaganda and advertising.
People know incomparably more than 1000 years ago, but - they know more - harmful.

In the era when the Bible was written, the villagers were superstitious and completely uneducated.
It was enough for them to tell a couple of parables from the Bible for them to believe in God.
Today, all "Papuans" (inhabitants of Papua New Guinea) are no less familiar with atheistic scientific argumentation than they are familiar with the teachings of Christ.

People also needed laws and norms of life.
The Bible simultaneously performed a legislative function, supported by the authority of God.
Today there is a very developed jurisprudence.

That is, today it is necessary not just to acquaint people with God's word, hoping that God's word will interest people and convince them by itself.
What is needed today is counter-propaganda, active persuasion of people, argumentation is necessary.

The next spiritual revolution:

Rick writes that Jesus Christ brought about a spiritual revolution:
“In Old Testament times, only a few people were honored with close fellowship and friendship with God.
Most of his contemporaries treated God not in a friendly way, but with fear.
Because Jesus purchased salvation for us and instilled the Holy Spirit in our hearts, we can all become friends with God.
The Old Testament priests needed more than one hour to prepare for a meeting with God, but now we can approach Him at any time .
With the coming of Jesus, people can again come to God directly."
Jesus abolished "Slavery":
Jesus said, “I no longer call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends because I have told you all that I have heard from my Father . ”

However, it is precisely today that the following spiritual revolution is needed:

The main "argument" should not be manipulation and blackmail, but an appeal to the Divine in man.
If a person is created in the image and likeness of God, then he must have Divine character traits at least latently.
Man, like God himself, must feel what is good and what is evil.
Man, like God , should like good, and disgust disgust.
Disrespect for the Divine in man is disrespect for God.

A purely moral basis instead of the manipulation of carrots and sticks:

Rick's blackmail , his "Carrot and Stick" work much weaker today than it did 1000 years ago.
They are no longer enough to be sure of the truth of the "Truth".
Today, most "believers" "believe" "just in case", a compromise. - They go to church only on holidays, they try to sin no more than average - believing - if they punish, then not everyone.

On the 2nd side, today people have become politically and economically freer, and have more opportunities to act morally.
It is more effective - today - to offer people motives to act morally - here and now - from moral motives, for moral satisfaction, and not for a dubious Reward after death.
That is, to organize the receipt of an award not so much in Heaven as now - on Earth.
A strong motive can be a threat to the existence of mankind.

Does God need agnosticism?:

Rick writes that "God has chosen the weak to shame the strong."
Rick gives an example:
"Moses was a murderer, Abraham was a coward, David was a fornicator " (35th day)
At the same time, "Moses and Abraham He called With your friends. David -" a man according to His own heart. " (11th day)

Question: How are doubts worse than other weaknesses for God?
After all, doubts are worse not for God, but for people-hierarchs?

If God uses sinners, why can't he use the insecure ?
God is not a radical, not a maximalist, and is prone to compromises for the sake of advancement?
After all, critical thinking is much more important than insecurity - today - on the eve of AI manipulations.

Moreover:
"Abraham, Moses, David, Job and others - instead of covering up their doubts with pious phrases, they expressed them out loud in front of everyone ." (12th day)
"God hates hypocrisy." (13th day)

Religiosity = there is a disease:

I take Rick Warren's theology as a description of mental illness.
- Confidence in the truth of the Dogmas of the Bible is similar to the patient's lack of doubt that he is Napoleon, or that he is being pursued by aliens.
Confidence, where doubts are possible in principle, is the criterion of insanity.
The Bible is, of course, a collection of wisdom, but I perceive it critically.

Rick's manipulations :

Rick tries to manipulate into believing:

"Faith" Rick ties to morality:
- Like, if you do not believe, then you are a bad person, and you will do bad things.

Circumstance factor:

Man is weak. Rick writes:
"Under a certain set of circumstances, each of us is capable of any sin ."
The 995th luck of God lies in socialism.
1000 years ago, most of the sins were committed because of "Extreme Choice".

I propose a simple experiment:

Lock up for 2 months high-ranking ultra-conservative clergy one by one in rooms with other people's very fragrant dishes.
High-ranking bosses are usually pampered by the position.
They usually have a long tongue but a short fortitude.
In a month, 90% of the judges will steal something.

By the way, a similar experiment was set up in the Catholic Church - with the sexual seduction of children by clergy.
However, no one raises the question of the adequacy of the organization of the Catholic Church to its spiritual goals.
In the era of the Internet, the ROC MP is needed more by Satan than by God.

Socialism helped God today:

Sobes (Social Security Institute) exists even in the poorest of the world.
The Internet has increased by orders of magnitude the ability of people to coordinate and organize charity.
There are very few hungry people in the world today compared to 1,000 years ago.
For the first time, people were able to make truly moral choices.
"I want mercy, but not sacrifice"

Circumstance Management:

Rick writes:
"Determine under what circumstances Satan usually tempts you, and then avoid such situations."
However, much more effective is the collective management of circumstances.
Today, the main function of Rick's "groups" should not be spiritual communication, but the collective management of circumstances.

The 996th luck of God lies in Science. -
Today people can model and create social organizations conducive to the advancement of the Divine on Earth.
For this purpose - today - the most promising direction is - "flat" organization.

Rick's controversy :

I see a contradiction in Rick Warren:
Rick 's God wants to be a friend, wants us to be like Him,
But at the same time, Rick ’s God is an egoist and boss himself.

"To live in order to please God and bring Him joy is the 1st goal of our existence."

Rick's Vanity :

"The purpose of the universe is to reveal God's glory."
"God created us with a desire to worship because He is looking for worshipers ! "

God Rika "is not alien to emotions", He "gets upset , jealous, angry ".
"God also likes to be praised and thanked."

Leadership performance:

"The heart of worship is total submission"
"God is not obliged to explain to you the essence and reason for His commands . "

"How to Become a Close Friend to God:
Firmly Decide to Obey God
Decide firmly to share God's values "

A boss-executive relationship is not like a friendship.
"Noah pleased God by trusting Him even when he did not understand Him.
Noah followed all of His commands exactly."
Friendly relations imply - clarification and justification, including values.

A thoughtless performer can just as easily be used by Satan, pretending, like Gunda , that he speaks on behalf of God.

Unconditional Love:

"God spares nothing for a man who is completely absorbed in the purpose of pleasing Him."
"Why is [He] so pleased when we obey Him? Because obedience proves that we love Him ."

Selling Faith:

Moreover, faith turns out to be very corrupt, the choice turns out to be not at all purely moral:
"Getting rid of guilt is given by God only for faith."
"It is worth a man to believe, as God forgives him all sins ."

Rick's main "argument" is - "Reward" from God.
Rick promises her - 25 times.

"The Benefits of Belonging to God's Family:

First, we will always stay close to God
Secondly, we will become completely like Christ
Thirdly, we will be freed from pain, suffering and death.
Fourth, we will receive a reward and a new ministry
Fifth, we share with Christ His glory "

There is also a "limited quantity of goods" manipulation.
There is also a negative motivation - "whip":
" Many people will have to suffer for all eternity without God, because they refused to live together with Him on Earth."

There is also the manipulation of the ultimatum.
"The invitation to become members of God's family is open to all, but on one condition: you must believe in Jesus Christ."

All this provokes insincerity.
I think that only 20 percent of Rick's sick fanatics among those who officially call themselves "believers" = confident in what Rick says.

Even worse, faith in Jesus Christ does not just mean faith, but faith, just as Rick says .
Thus, Rick's teachings turn out to be authoritative, creating a powerful centralized political force - the " Rick Family ".

Absolute determinism:

"God's plan takes into account absolutely everything, including even sins.
He planned everything with the greatest precision . "

- This is another contradiction of Rick and the manipulation of fate.
Rick encourages people to choose his teaching, but this choice of people is already programmed.

Manipulation of fate is when they say: "You will do as I said, because fate is exactly that, and not vice versa. It is useless to resist. Only God and I know fate."

Cult of Divinity instead of Idolatry:

Personally, I have a desire to preserve Divinity on Earth, and not to satisfy the desires of God, who "is not alien to emotions," who "gets upset , jealous, angry ."

"The joy was mutual - Everyone was happy:

The more we liked her cooking, the happier Mom was.
But we also liked to praise our mother and thank her for the pleasure that cooked food gave us."

Sadism?:

"God can transform us in the twinkling of an eye, but He has decided that He will grow us slowly."

"Getting rid of guilt is given by God only for faith."
"It is worth a man to believe, as God forgives him all sins ."

Sins for glory:

"God's plan takes into account absolutely everything, including even sins ."
" Every sin at its root is an unwillingness to give glory to God."
